Creative Workshop Facilitation

From creative 'making' workshops, to think-tank session, to yoga and meditation, I create bespoke interactive events and workshops for both adults and children in different settings.

'In Their Shoes'

Mother Tongues Festival 2023

As Creative Producer for Mother Tongues in 2023, I developed and managed the programme of events and workshops, most of which were aimed at children and families. At the opening event I ran a workshop for adults - educators, parents, artists, policy makers, those interested in multilingualism - called 'In Their Shoes' which focused on creatively exploring the experiences on the different groups who make up modern, multicultural Ireland. An exercise in empathy, the conversations were profound as groups placed themselves on the shoes of the 'other'.

EveryBODY

A durational participatory project exploring our relationship with our bodies

EveryBODY is an ongoing participatory process-led project which involves exploring personal narratives through personal body memoir writing and self-portraiture.

Supported by the Arts Council Agility Award and CREATE Artist in the Community, I've brought EveryBODY into the community setting looking at the physical experiences of pre and post-natal women.

See the EveryBODY Instagram page for more about this project and workshops.

Finding Creative Flow

Reflective yoga workshop on accessing the inner flow state

Combining my interest and research into the creative process with my training in Yoga and Meditation, this workshops aims to soften creative blocks through movement, breath and journalling, allowing participants to explore their personal 'flow state'.

Exploring the Self through Self-Portraiture

Looking at the history and methods of visual personal storytelling

An accessible workshop which looks at artists in history and different styles of self portraiture as a means of telling personal stories. The group are then guided in playing with words, paper collage, drawing, mark-making and photography to create our own self-portraits.
